Hi there! Out of curiosity - how experienced do those interested in expanding their portfolio for free need to be? =) asking because tech artists are generalists with a bunch of skills already and seasoned ones rarely choose free projects =)

This holds true for many fields, including programming, yet requests for free programming assistance persist. :) Indeed, with more than twelve years of experience in video game development, I'm undertaking this as an unpaid side project. Posts seeking voluntary help often go unanswered, as it's uncommon to find someone willing to work merely for the 'promise' of future payment. However, it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

With that in mind, I'm open to anyone who is eager and wishes to learn.

True all of that. Especially about unanswered posts. Unfortunately, many times free projects had higher requirements than paid ones. Might be the reason. As for the rare persons willing to help, that's not the case. There are many people willing to help, that's why we are all on this forum and exactly this part of it. Everyone is able to build a dream team here, even for free. Learning is precious. Good luck with your project! =)

Yeah, I've found a precious few. Could always use more though ;)
