Testers needed for a specific puzzle

So I've been getting players for the recent update of my RPG game, and it's been going well! Every other aspect of the game is fantastic as I hear :D The only problem I've seen consistently is with the Memory puzzle mini-game. It's been a bit of a pain to be honest... As you can see from the recent comments, some say it's too hard, and most just straight up aren't sure what to do.

And I'm not sure what to do either!

So far I've tried my best to make the instructions clear, made a walkthrough on it, and even put in a hint option that literally gives you the answer. But it seems to still not be clicking with players... Maybe you can try it?

You will have to play through the first part of the game to reach the puzzle, but it's only about 10 to 15 minutes. It's an easy and fun experience, so you can just breeze by it if you want. I would like you to play through the whole game (about 20 to 30 min) and let me know how the experience went, but for the sake of this post you totally don't have to!

Grass Elemental is right over here: https://wasabiiii.itch.io/grass-elemental-demo-demo

By the way, if you find that you can't complete it, please tell me what I can do to make things clearer or easier. I'm at a loss for ideas on how to improve it without having to tear the coding apart lol.

Honestly I would be SO happy if anyone successfully completed the puzzle at this point T-T

I can't do download-games, but the youtube-video quite gets a preview (I adore the read text about meds off pedals from that flower, sounds interesting &kept me into trying playing, or least that line was my focus in what amazed me first/I had my eyes on). Maybe as I liked the moongrass-thing for Mudokons in Oddworld-game or generally gardening, etc.?

I think it be a jump 'N run game to avoid hitting obstacles off the right, speed seems okay, I like the music &graphics or sounds have me thinking of pokemon somehow, btw in a cool way.

Flower-cutscenes wth pedals (loosing life, I guess?) are nice in animation. Contrast of background to texts are okay too. Also the font-size, but: just the written texts are bit had to read in "handwriting", still roundy letters than too squared/with edges - I'd say handwriting fits to natural-themed, just a more reaable font woul be perfect for my taste there?

Awesome RPG to play, I think it looks easy but can't say much about its controls or keys, just the scenes that I see in the video.

Hey, thanks so much for commenting!

You made some really good points here. I'd love to apply your advice but unfortunately I decided to scrap the Memory and the puzzle from the game's future releases altogether, a few months ago. It was just too much of a headache to fix, and sadly I realized the character doesn't really fit into the main story of the official demo I'm working on. The current version of the game with the puzzle will still be available, it just doesn't seem like it can feasibly be included in any future releases. Maybe if there's a bigger demand for the puzzle to be fixed I can reconsider, but for now I'm working hard on other aspects of the game.

Thanks again! The Discord is over here if you wanna join btw https://discord.gg/QCTvFpYE

Not a comment about the puzzle, but that typeface really is hard to read. A handwriting style does not go well with pixelated style.
