Crocodile Maldido: From Sewer Star to Search Slump
Hey everyone! Today I want to talk about my recent experience with itch.io and my game, Crocodile Maldido.
Look, I'm not gonna lie. When I uploaded Crocodile Maldido, a free horror game about a sewer-dwelling croc, things were going great! It shot straight into the "Best New Horror Games" list, landing at number 6! That's insane for a solo developer like me. Views were climbing, hitting around 2,000 in a short time, and even some generous folks sent donations. I felt like I might finally have a hit on my hands!
But then... poof. Nothing. My game vanished from search results. It wasn't even listed anymore. Talk about a total bummer! I reached out to itch.io support about this, but after two days, still no response.

It's frustrating, you know? This could have been a breakout moment for Crocodile Maldido, and now it feels like that chance has slipped away. Don't get me wrong, I love itch.io as a platform, but this whole situation has me feeling pretty discouraged. (i might end up making my own game platform)
Alright, jokes aside. Dwelling on the negative won't help. So....
Stay tuned!
I'll keep you guys updated on what happens with Crocodile Maldido. In the meantime, let me know in the comments if you've ever experienced something similar on itch.io. Let's share some tips and keep building this awesome indie game community!
UPDATE
Since itch.io doesn't answer i uploaded another game.....well the same game but with a slightly different name. Crocodile Maldito instead of Crocodile Maldido. After few minutes i received the email that says that my game is published and it appears in "Recently added" but that is not true, the game doesn't appear in recently added even after 30 minutes of page reloading, i see all new added games but not mine.
