Severe Audio Lag, unusable

Hello!

I am hoping someone might have an idea for another solution to this: Whenever I open the program, for about 10 seconds or so, it works wonderfully, but afterwards the model begins to lag behind my audio input. (That is to say, the green audio bar itself also lags horribly. The model reacts to it just fine, however, my audio is only picked up over 30 seconds and more after I say something.) The lag gets worse and worse very fast and after less than a minute it is unusable.

My microphone works fine and all other programs detect it at the correct time.

I have attempted to run the program as an admin, downgrade to V 1.3 and back to 1.4.5, I have used two different bluetooth headsets and one with a cord (all have the same problem, so it can't be that), in my task manager everything looks normal. I have downloaded it here and tried the version on steam. My drivers are all up to date. De-selecting and re-selecting the mic does fix it...again, for 5-10 seconds, before it gets extremly bad once again, so that is not feasable.

I am not a streamer, just someone who likes to draw and animate, so when I saw this I was very excited about being able to customise the movement so much - but that is to say, I have no other programs running either. I am on Windows 10 and my PC can run quite demanding games without any issue, I have also never expierenced any lag during voice calls or similar things.

I have no idea what else I could do, I'm not a tech person and afaik the developer isn't working on this actively anymore, but I would still love to get it to work properly at least once :(

Just in case: have you already adjusted the mic reset delay in the settings.pngtp file? There are instructions in the program FAQ. It is adjustable in seconds, so if you notice your audio works for, say, 30–60 seconds, you can set it to reset every 30 seconds and see if that improves audio performance. You may also want to lower the FPS (either in the same settings file, or in PNGTuber Plus) and see if it helps.

I have exactly the same problem as the author of this topic. I did not understand how to open the file C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\PNGTuberPlus\settings.pngtp could you tell me in more detail exactly where I need to go (to the folder path or can it be done in the application itself?) to change the reset\microphone check for every 10 seconds

fps does not affect this - the problem is only with the sound lag, which begins to slow down over time after 10 seconds

(I'm asking because I didn't find it in the instructions)

Right-click the settings.pngtp file and open in whatever simple text editing program you prefer (Notepad, TextEdit—whatever your system has). It should look like this.  "secondsToMicReset" is the value you want to adjust.

I am also having this issue. I've tried several things but it still creeps back. :(

I followed that FAQ steps to change the mic reset and it just keeps coming in. I was using this program just fine and it stopped working two days ago. :(
update:
WHOA I THINK I SOLVED IT
Spacial Sound seems like it was tripping it up. Will experiment more.

Was this the issue? If so, how do you turn it off? I can't use my PNGTuber+ anymore right now because of it :
