(Tiny Spoiler)
This game, like the first, is such a delight.
I own The Lost Art of Innkeeping thanks to a big bundle. I'm ashamed that it sat untouched on my desktop for so long, but I eventually gave it a shot and was hooked. I played/replayed nonstop for ages, trying to check out all of the different results of my gameplay actions.
Just as I found myself winding down from The Lost Art of Innkeeping and searching for a new, cozy game to occupy me in the same way, I learn that a sequel was JUST RELEASED! I couldn't slam down my money fast enough and I'm so glad I did.
The Hidden Art of Innkeeping is grand. It expands on aspects of the first while still maintaining clear objectives and gameplay. It is truly the epitome of the endless 'Just one more day' feeling you get with a great management sim. There is a proper feeling of making progress mixed with more and more goals appearing. Plus, you want to keep playing because you are drawn in by the cozy vibes and interesting characters. I love a game I can play multiple times. I even find myself writing little notes about room layouts & services off to the side (which gives me nostalgia because I haven't done that since I was a kid without a guide/the internet).
Thanks so much for the care and hard work put into this game and the last, I certainly appreciate it.
My only issue? Taking the stuffed animal to give to the fairy in the forest makes Branka the mouse sad, so I can't make myself do it again. It hurts my heart! Lol :)
