ANNOUNCEMENT

Like last year, I have joined the Yuri game jam and will bring you a juicy game with both hot and cute women :p

Trying to learn from my past mistakes, I have already found a background artist, a music composer and a 2nd writer to help me with the script. If everything goes according to plan, and I'm quite optimistic this time, you will see a complete game, with a beginning and an ending (sorry Synthetizing Love, I haven't forgotten about you).

As for the genre, I have strayed from my usual romance/slice-of-life games and moved on to horror/creepy. As the protagonist, you will find yourself alone in a forest during a thunderstorm, forced to seek shelter in a mysterious mansion inhabitated by a beautiful and just as mysterious woman. What will happen inside? Will you be able to go home? Find out in two months!

DEVLOG #1

To be honest, production isn't going as well as I'd hoped. It's true that there's still more than a month left until the jam's deadline but I can't help feeling like I'm falling behind.

The script isn't done yet. I'm getting close but I also feel like I'm not too proud of the direction I've taken. I constantly feel like changing stuff but having a second writer who's basically fixing my language (they make everything sound so good, damn) is stopping me from doing it. I don't want to add more work for them, plus we're on a time costraint, so I'm telling myself it's fine as it is.

I also haven't even finished designing the UI... I've started coding, designing, drawing but there is not a single thing that is finished. Definitely not happy about that. I'm lacking music and backgrounds as well.

I wonder how firm can you be with team members until you sound too controlling or seem like you're asking for too much? If anyone can give me any pointers I'm all ears. I want to be a good director who they won't regret working with, once this jam is over.

I guess that's all for now. Hopefully I can get back to you before the end of the month with another update!
