Please ask any questions about Rule 5: Law & Ethics

5.Don’t violate any of itch.io’s TOS while making the Visual Novel and don’t make yourself reasonably vulnerable to a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown by infringing on serious copyrights. Don’t commit war crimes such as violating the Geneva Conventions.

  • Additionally, avoid any glorification of sexual violence or infantilization in the Visual Novel. Do not have a recent history of such glorifications.

Hello! May I ask what is considered to be "glorifications"? I don't really know which types of content that might be related this term. Thank you!

Going by the Oxford Languages definition of glorification:

the action of describing or representing something as admirable, especially unjustifiably

For example, if the main character is raping/Non-Con-ing another character, do not have dialogue written in a way that the player is supposed to clearly be deriving pleasure and/or admiration from the rape/Non-Con.
