Hey im playing the game trying to do a max corruption playthrough, im currently at the point where the reverse summoning is performed and everyone tried to kill the goddess............uh is there a way to reduce rolands popularity inside this area? I beat the bandit king got his orb but.........im fighting roland with his popularity at 145 and he just turns around and one shots me and my party before they can do a single thing every time, i cant even get Aura to pull off her choker before getting completely destroyed

You can't reduce his popularity around masses in place with no access to masses. Popularity only increases and decreases as a result of choices in quests of Verdaux, not any other way. Maybe someone will give a hint on how to beat him with such popularity

it looks like you went too far with the lewd stuff haha. A solution would be to simply throw a flash bomb. If you are lucky, your team will dodge the attacks and you should be able to use the collar. They don’t have any magic so it should be enough. If you are not lucky, just reload. 

Also, you might want to go to the bottom right of the map. There is some kind of mage soul that sells some spells. You can get thunder resistance for your team, the skill brighten which is very useful in the Roland fight. Using a nasty oil coating will make the knights of Roland weak.

With all of this, you should be able to survive until your aura can use the collar. You might even win the fight too without that.
