They're indexed, so people can find them in searches. The pages are public. So maybe listen to people who've been around for literally ten years.
Yes, playable in the browser. For the third time, the Itch app downloads browser games to cache them, so they show up as downloads in analytics. It's a well-known quirk that's not documented and confuses a lot of people at first, but has been mentioned countless times in the forum.
