The election single has been released (it was a digital release), but the related election and concert have not automatically started.

Does an election single have to be a physical release?

It should start after 2 weeks. Do you still have "Election" labels on the concert and the election?

Also, there's a common bug in this version where the game freezes after the election, I'll roll out an update with a bunch of fixes including this one in a day or so.

Yes, the concert and election are still there and have the "Election" banner in the corner.   I guess I just have to wait two weeks...  :)

Same for me (3 times). I fixed it reloading the game, freezes in concert the first reload and freezes after the election, but reloading (again) saves the game... Except I cannot create another concert never again, the button always show "In production" :(
