Novetus on Mac with CrossOver

CrossOver is a program endorsed by WineHQ that makes it easy to run Windows apps on MacOS and Debian.

It's like $100 and based off of open-source software so I just pirated it, but do what you want.

To get Novetus to partially work, I created a Windows 10 bottle with these settings:

  1. D3DMetal
  2. MSync

And created a  command shortcut thingy to the legacy launcher.

May work better with other settings but I'm tired at the moment, and I don't want to test anymore

Clients that work

  • 2006: Untested
  • 2007E: Pretty good
  • 2007M: Really good
  • 2008: Leaderboard text, menu bar text, and gear icons are gone. Also, a few rendering errors with accessories occur
  • 2009:  Leaderboard text, menu bar text, and gear icons are gone. Also, a few rendering errors with accessories occur
  • 2010: Leaderboard text, menu bar text, and gear icons are gone. Also, a few rendering errors with accessories occur
  • 2011E: Works really well
  • 2011L: Works well, just not as well as 2011E imo

Note it may work better in a Windows 7 or Vista bottle, tell me if it does!

Okay, well this worked really well.

  1. Create a 32-bit Windows XP bottle
  2. Install all of the dependencies via the built in crossover application installer
  3. Install .NET 4.7.2 via the crossover application installer
  4. Enable D3DMetal and ESync (MSync causes certain clients to crash)
  5. Enjoy good performance, although Studio does take a while to start

You also have to disable d3d9 in the libraries tab of the wine configuration
