Hello, I am writing about the lack of indexing of my game, for more than 5 days.

Having read other topics about this, I thought that this was normal.

But I saw that on the page (https://itch.io/docs/creators/getting-indexed) it is stated "...This process may take a few days. Please contact us only after you've waited at least one day. ..." and it seems to me that this is more relevant information.

Sorry for the topic, if it is not correct, but I would like to find out approximately how long to wait for indexing (if it is in progress).
And also to index my game (which of course is a standard desire, but still).

It is normal.

What is not "correct" is the phrase "one day/a few days". It is overly optimistic.

If your page was not indexed within minutes, you are on the waiting queue for manual inspection and that can take from a few hours to several weeks. It is not first in first out. If you promote your game elsewhere and get natural traffic, that might speed it up, and is a good idea in general. Also, you have payment active first time. Those tend to take longer.

Itch might avoid a lot of support inquiries and topics like this one by updating their faq with a more realistic time estimate.
