I'm new to the game, enjoying it a lot so far however this issue has prevented me from being able to play it easily: As the title says, the cooldown on the signal finder thing (Part 1 of processing a signal) is always stuck at a permanent red 0.0, upgrades do nothing, pressing shift does nothing. I have closed and reopened my game, I have also made a new save file (Missed a day in the daily request cause I didn't know how to process them) I have never once been able to use the finder thing, it's annoying :(

I've skimmed by so far on randomly searching around but my luck is currently not great and I'm out of signals and scared I'll miss a day :( Someone help me please, I love this game but this makes it very hard to play, I've tried making a post on the Reddit but got no help. Idk if I'm just missing something or what

The processing console is not used until you have purchased it and from your description it seems like you haven't. Did you play through the tutorial? Can you move the "crosshair" on the signal searching console? Is that the cooldown you are referring to? Because it is always red. You should be able to scan just by pushing shift if thats not working then maybe try a fresh reinstall. Edit: I was just playing and realized that right shift doesnt activate the scan. IDK why anyone in there right mind would use right shift but i figured i'd say that. lol
