I really like the game but it seems the combat is a little tough at least in the begining.  I don't see any way to avoid being hit.  If you have to tank damage then it doesn't make much sense to be so weak on HP.   You can maybe kill one, maybe 2, opponants (I had a machete) before you have to run for your life and there could be a dozen on a map .   Idk if there is any way to heal in between encounters.  I've only gotten to play for a couple hours so far, but this makes early exploration and resource gathering a bit too difficult/tedious.

Anyway I'm really looking forward to seeing this one develop.  Good Luck!

You can sprint with shift. A bow is your best bet as an early weapon. It is tough at furst but gets easier when you upgrade your health. You can also craft 'camp' items that let you heal in between maps/explorations. I am working on a craft-able 'health' pack or something to heal. I thought also about adding health drop from monsters that heal you. Combat/item will probably be my next thing to work on.

Oh also when you start getting people in your base you can bring people with you.

Just craft 2 or 3 bows and strafe and backpedal so enemies can't hit you.

Craft a cab and drive over them. One or two bumps should kill them. And cars are indestructible (At least for now).

it would be nice to be able to craft extra arrows!
