[SOLVED] How to format the csv correctly?

Hi, I just bought the plugin.

In your video, the csv is clean to edit in Excel, as every entry is in a separate cell.

When I open the csv, every line is in a single cell, dividing the entries with just a ",". That's hard to edit. If I try to import the csv and select a symbol to split the data, I can't select ",", as it's part of normal texts as well. Am I doing something wrong? How do I format it the way you did?

Thanks!

Hi, sometimes Excel software messes up. Simply open the file with Google Spread Sheet and export it to csv. Now the csv file is more... International.

It looks in fact better now, but whenever I save it, the separators are ";" instead of ",", so it won't be read by the plugin.

I have a feature request - would it be possible to select freely  the separator in the plugin manager? By default "," can be set, but if I could change it to ";", it would solve my compatibility issues. I hardcoded ";" into the plugin testwise and it works. But I'd rather use your "official" version, as I sure missed a lot of things that might break something eventually. Thanks!

I've just tested Google Spread Sheet again and it still works fine. The steps wereto  open your CSV file > translate > Download as CSV.

If the issue still persists, you can delete the game_messages.csv and generate a new one, then put on Google Spread Sheet again to test it out.

I did some research. Unfortunately, this is a specific issue with German version of Windows. If Excel detects a German operating system, it will automatically swap "," to ";" in a csv. There's noting I can do, except changing the Language, which isn't really comfortable. So, it would help a lot, if I could change the separator the plugin will work with.

I'll do more research about this and maybe add a detect Windows language feature so it'll work in the backend so you don't need to worry about changing or swapping , or ;. Stay tuned, the update will be ready soon.

Thank you! It just needs to keep in mind, that the player might have a different language than I do, but I'm sure, you'll find the best solution. I appreciate your support very much.

Hi mesmerizeSQ, I've made an update but not releasing it yet because I want you to test it. Can you add my Discord?
