Hello, I, along with 7 other people, am working on a very, very ambitious metroidvania, and we’ll need a talented concept artist to help us have a clear vision of how everything will look—someone capable of bringing characters, environments, props, objects, etc., to life. You can trust that our two artists will translate your concepts in the best possible way, and I will handle animating them and bringing them to life within the game. all the ideas you give will be of great contribution to the development and will be considered and probably implemented if they are good.
the game is still in an early development stage (4 months), but we aspire to a very ambitious game, inspired by games like ori and the blind forest/will of the wisps, a bit of hollow knight among other games, it should be noted that the game will be +16, a cryptic lore and an extensive lore and very strange and perhaps a little bizarre. expected development time: 3-5 years or a little more.
Regarding funding, we plan to start a crowdfunding campaign when the project is advanced and there is material that people are willing to support.
The game takes place on a floating island within a multidimensional rift separate from the multiverse called Yoto. On this island, multiple realities converge, leading you to explore very diverse and strange settings. You are "the Neophyte," tasked with fulfilling a mission assigned by your Mirus Rex to become "the Deacon." The Neophyte can deviate from the divine path and become "the Executioner."
The game includes survival elements such as hunger, resource gathering, and crafting, but it is primarily a Metroidvania (with no loading screens). You have access to an extensive arsenal of weapons and items, as well as abilities you can acquire to unlock many more areas and other features, as is typical in a Metroidvania.
The game's lore is vast, cryptic, tragic, and bizarre. The Neophyte has a unique ability called Reminiscence, which allows them to glimpse the island's past, revealing events, characters, and clues from many years ago.
I'll leave a link to the Twitter account of one of our artists so you can get an idea of the game’s art style, as well as our own Twitter account so you can check out some gameplay. I should warn you that the gameplay footage is outdated—currently, the player's code is being rewritten for something more advanced to improve the gameplay, and many game mechanics aren’t shown yet.
