I have to say that I'm not happy at all with having to restart the ENTIRE game with hunting chicken and the other arcade games etc and losing ALL the hard-earned progress I've made in 49 1.1.2 in-game days ...  😳😲😧😵😩😫😕😠😡!!!

That's a misuse of your players' time on Earth 🌍🌎🌏 ...

works completely fine, this is 99.9% an issue on OP's end, not the devs.

You should have another file in your savegame folder, global.rpgsave. Copy that as well. Don't blame the devs.

It seems your question has already been answered by these awesome people!  Sorry for your inconvenience, having to re-do progress can be frustrating.
