Battler Animation Cheatsheet

For those of us that need to butcher the battler spritesheet for whatever project they may have: Here is a rough outline overlay for the 'intent' of the sprites formatting as far as I can tell, as well as some notes.

  • A lot of the animations are just 3 of the same image. [Dead, Hurt, Wounded, Dodge, The Idles, etc] They just seem to be there just to fit the format, or allow item animation? (Cloak billowing, weapon/armor shine, floating orbs, etc)
  • Dodge, and Slide are interchangeable, Hurt and Hurt Stage 2? are interchangeable. 6 of the same image in each group. Confused the hell out of me till I realized the animation format was just 3 frames per animation. I've marked the bottom right Slide because it fits well after being Knockback which is it's neighbor, whereas Dodge is next to Jump. I'm not sure why Hurt and Hurt v2 are the same though. Perhaps a quirk of the intended engine?

Thanks !
