I remember something weird about the game, either it was annoying in a way or this was one situation in which I was not sure if it forced Patreon or other things onto you in order to actually get any content like "if you want to make that choice subscribe or take the basic option".
I could be wrong but I remember it in a similar way.
No, it didn't tell me that the story ended there or needed patreon, and that was an event so very early in the story that it seemed more like a bug than a limitation to me.
