Some feedback after playing the game for a bit

Hey! I tried your game.
Overall, I liked the gameplay, especially being able to try and create a 'build' by focussing on rewards/towers of certain types!

I have a few points of feedback / bugs I found:

- I think the white and yellow colors in the tower names/cost are difficult to read (can't post an image for some reason?). I'm a bit colorblind, that might have to do with it.

- When starting a second run after losing the first, the game exited fullscreen and I could not get it back to fullscreen again.

- The difficulty of the waves spiked a bit quickly IMO. In my run, for the first few waves, the enemies all died very quickly and I thought I was doing well. Then suddenly, one type of enemy (turtle?) just walked through and did not want to die.

- Somewhat related to the last point, I think being able to see HP of individual enemies would be nice. It also puts the damage numbers you see on screen into perspective.

- I think the game could benefit from an even higher speed than 2x for some of the early levels

Overall a good experience, hope to see you refine this game even more!

Hey Hey! Thank you for your feedback!

- I think the white and yellow colors in the tower names/cost are difficult to read (can't post an image for some reason?). I'm a bit colorblind, that might have to do with it.
Yes, I agree! UI is definitely something that we are still working on to find best results.  We will update it!

- When starting a second run after losing the first, the game exited fullscreen and I could not get it back to fullscreen again.
TBH We are not sure why this happened, never happened on our runs, if you can it will be awesome if you can record your screen with this bug, it will allow us to understand a bit better what is going on.

- The difficulty of the waves spiked a bit quickly IMO. In my run, for the first few waves, the enemies all died very quickly and I thought I was doing well. Then suddenly, one type of enemy (turtle?) just walked through and did not want to die.
This happens if you cannot find any towers for merge, which is super rare. Our recommendation will be to reroll shop more often to find towers you need.

- Somewhat related to the last point, I think being able to see HP of individual enemies would be nice. It also puts the damage numbers you see on screen into perspective.
We will add this as a toggleable option in settings in the 0.5 version. (two version from current)

- I think the game could benefit from an even higher speed than 2x for some of the early levels
Casual difficulty is the easiest run, I guarantee that in hardcore mode you don't need it :)

Overall thanks for feedback. Version 0.3 is almost ready (will be downloaded today)  Be sure to check it out!

Things which we added:

  • New tower type - Spikes. Can be placed on the road for even more ways to beat the game!
  • New mini game - Wheel of Fortune. Sometimes villagers will offer to spin the wheel where you can gain gold, stats and towers! Bring even more fun and unexpected twists during gameplay.
  • New mechanic - Playable Character. Now you can play with your character and can treat it as a movable tower, we believe that this will bring more diversity into gameplay experience and will open new strategies and min/max opportunities for the best runs.

Version 0.4 will be ready also in 3-4 days and will include:

  • Items - more than 20 items will be available for the demo
  • Bestiary - want to know a bit more about mobs bosses and mechanics? Well, this is for you!
  • Achievements - even if it's a demo, we want to give players who love collecting achievements something to do as a long goal in the game.  40 achievements will be ready in demo.
  • Tons of UI improvements and quality of life features.

Stay tuned!

Best wishes CraftCoreGames!
