This is the first solo RPG that I’ve finished. It took me a couple of hours and the trip was fraught with peril near the end (car stolen, replacement car immediately crashed, my only character friend passed, and I got my leg pinned between some rocks) but thankfully my wealthy friend Ken Diamond gave me a ride to chat with his highly motivational running friend Forrest Clubs and I managed to finish…with a new love as well! I kept passing out and waking up in the “Den of Solitude”…(5times!) I was ready to pick some throw rugs and matching curtains but I finally made it to my destination - The Worlds Largest Ball of Twine was totally worth it! I highly recommend the gift shop. 😂

There were a few things I was uncertain of - do I “pass out” before or after I land on the new card? I didn’t quite understand how the “detours” were supposed to work - do I go back to the card I was previously on and go around from there?

Overall, a pretty solid game. Mine was mostly perilous. Thank you for the fun game!

That's a good question. I would say you'd pass out after you land on the card, since that represents you actually making the trip there.

Detours cannot be accessed by cars in any of the 8 directions with the exception of the start and goal Jokers, so it acts more like a blockade. The exception is if you're walking, as it represents you walking through whatever that detour was. However, doing it this way costs an extra point of energy.
