You know what I always wanted to see? A 2D metroidvania colctaton game...a big interconected world that you can explore more and more as you find items...but you also have to complete missions for npcs to get colectables...so basically a metroid game with missions and stuff...

I don't know...lately I haven't been seeing many 2d metroidvanias out there

I would really want to play an RTS with a storyline about war progress, and not heroes adventures. Like Warcraft 1-2 or Command and Conquer series.
