Some questions and one suggestion

Hello,

I just played some of the alpha, which I bought after playing the demo some. I like what I've played so far but have a few questions for now, probably more later.

* How do I use torches, do I need to light them somehow? I equiped one while exploring a cave, but it didn't seem to light up my path or do any difference from what I noticed. Also can we burn buildings with them? I wanted to burn mansfield to the ground after I've made my way through it, axes cleaving through its inhabitants.

* Is there any plans of adding some sort of conversations or something which makes one being able to interact with the world in more ways than just killing things? Like threatning villagers to reveal some information, before you butcher them and set their house on fire afterwards of course.

A suggestion would be limb severing and damage, at least to enemies, a system which I think would fit the concept and make one feel more powerful and the fights to feel more brutal. I understand that this might be hard to implement with balance and such, maybe only when the enemy is about to die? I think it could make great stories, let say one would cut a hand of magnus the magnificent, if I recall his name, and decide to flee because the fight is not going well. Then meeting him later, still with only one hand there to remind of an earlier fight.

Thanks.

Hey OccultOnion,

- When you select an item in your equipment screen, you should see icons with available actions to the right. To light up an equipped torch, you can press `g` I believe. As for the burning and overall destruction, that's currently unavailable and is planned for next major v0.3 version release.

- There were no plans for conversations so far, that's one of the big things I decided to cut off early to reduce the scope of the game before it would be playable. There seem to be quite many people that would like to see this kind of interaction, so if there will be some meaningful ideas that will enhance the gameplay, it could be added in one of the significant patches later on.

I like the idea of doing more permanent damage, thanks for your suggestion, I'll see if I can fit it to v0.3. You can read more about my plans for the next few major patches in one of the devlogs. :)

You sure replied fast,

another thing I just noticed, when going to the second floor in one of the houses in manfield no enemies would follow me, which felt like I could cheat death by cheating the system. It's hard not to use it being chased and in a though situation but it didn't feel quite right.

I have that one on the list, I pushed it for a bit later because it will take some time to have AI think in 3 dimensions. ;)
