I recently discovered you on Reddit and have been spamming you on Twitter with lots of questions and what not. At first, I thought this game was only being released on Steam but when I Googled your game, I found you here. So I can buy it here or wait for the Steam version, but some questions...
- Will the Steam version have a player Market where we can share our scapes and/or download other user created scapes?
- If I buy this version here and there is a Market for the Steam one, will I still be able to access a player Market with the non-Steam version?
- Will this or the Steam version be allowing user created mods? Texture packs? Shaders?
I'm wondering if I should wait for the Steam version just-in-case there is a Player Market and/or modding.
Also, in case you didn't see my spammy questions on Twitter:
- Will there be more animals in the future?
- Will the animals have more freedom of movement around the scape? Will there be more interactions between said animals and environment?
- Will there be humans introduced into the environment? Will they interact with their surrounding and animals? Such as:
- Chopping trees and chopping wood.
- Cooking.
- Gathering food items from the environment.
- Fishing.
- Planting little crops.
- Herding/feeding animals.
- Are there environment sounds like:
- Water (lakes, rivers, streams, waterfalls, creeks).
- Rain.
- Storms (snow, thunder/lightning).
- Animal sounds like animal calls and sounds of animals walking/running/swimming on various surfaces.
- Wind.
- Trees and leaves rustling.
- Branches cracking.
- Weather sounds.
- Will there be a day/night cycle that you can set to cycle automatically?
- Moon (or moons and other celestial bodies, this could be fun for creating alien scapes).
- Stars, stationary and falling.
- Meteor showers.
- Moon and sun rise/set.
- Eclipses.
- Will the night sky rotate to simulate a rotating planet?
- What about weather cycles?
- Rain (from light to stormy).
- Cloudy (from mild to overcast) but also, will the clouds move and shift like real clouds do?
- Fog,
- Mists.
- Sunny (from mild to really hot).
- What about a cycle of seasons? Will the environment change according to the season?
- Winter - Snow covered ground. Trees with no leaves. Water freezing/icing over. Falling snow/snow storms.
- Spring - Water thawing. New grass and flowers/plants growing. New leaves and blossoms on trees and plants. The snow melts gradually.
- Summer - Everything is in bloom. Tree leaves, grass and flowers are plentiful. Water is crystal clear.
- Autumn - Tree leaves begin changing colour and eventually fall. Flowers, plants and grass begin to wither to prepare for winter. Frost covered grounds in late fall.
- What about the animals? Will their behaviour and appearance change with the seasons (and weather) as well?
- Winter - Hibernating animals/insects find their dens/furrows for the winter. Other animals dig through snow to find grass and other things to eat. Their furs are thicker and some even change colour.
- Spring - Animals come out of their dens/furrows, etc. They gather together and look for food, procreate. Their furs begin to shed and lighten in colour.
- Summer - It's summer. I mean, they're frolicking and running around. Bees are buzzing, birds are chirping, etc.
- Autumn - They begin preparing for winter. Their furs begin growing thicker and changing colours. They begin finding their dens/furrows where they'll stay for the winter.
- What about layering things to create caves/caverns? Will we be able to create things inside the caves/caverns? What about underground scapes? Underwater scapes?
- What about making much larger terrains? Or creating entire globes?
Hmmm, is this too much maybe or....? I'm just really excited for games like these. They're like sim games like Civilzation, SimCity and Anno, but where I have full and unadulterated control over everything. I want to watch things grow and move around. Change with seasons and weather. With day and night.
I could do these all day.
