New Features

  • Added an "Entity Bounds" option to the Map Editor settings (accessed from the Settings button on the top toolbar). This will determine when to show the white wireframe bounds around entities in Place and Edit mode. The default is now to only show bounds for objects that cover multiple tiles.

Changes

  • Changed the vertical viewing angle limit for first-person mode from 60 degrees to 80. This will allow you to look higher/lower when using mouselook.
  • In first-person view, you can now click the left mouse button to cancel walking if you are currently moving towards a destination.

Bug Fixes

  • When rotating the view in first-person, the mouse cursor is now properly "captured" to prevent the rotation from stopping when the edges of the screen are reached.
  • Fixed an issue where the vertical viewing angle in first-person view was not being completely reset when a map was loaded, causing the high/low limits to become out of sync.
  • Fixed some navigation path issues that could occur when replacing existing tiles with others.

Nice! While on the subject of the up/down view angle, would it be possible at some point to add more control for the camera vertical angle in the map editor? I find myself increaslingly struggling when making maps with a lot of height variations. Being able to see a map from below, or at least from a side view, would be very helpful for such "vertical" levels.

Yeah, that's definitely something I can look into. I may even try to implement some sort of free fly mode, since there's really no reason to limit camera movement in the editor.

Excellent then :)
