Is there any way to control the NPCs?

I currently have one that's half dead and wandering around my ship - I can't tell her to get healed or do anything useful?

Currently NPCs are quite dumb, and can not be influenced directly.(This will be improved in the steam version of the game, check discord for details)
NPCs do go healing on their own, when their health drops low enough, if there is a powered med bay on the ship. Same thing for the O2.

NPC's also seem to heal themselves anytime you jump between systems.
