why pixel art is this much popular?

Hi all! I have 2 games released, and another big one in progress. All of them is in 2D and not in pixel art. And actually I never thought about making pixel art. Is there some other TECHNICAL reasons why the majority of 2D games created in pixel art? Thank you :)

Maybe more artists learn to work in pixel art than vectors? Dunno. I've made games with both. You pretty much have to stick with pixels on retrogaming platforms that have limited hardware, otherwise it's your choice of style.

For me it's several reasons. It's easier to create lines because I don't have to worry about them being too straight since it's pixel art. I don't have to worry about huge index of colors. Also pixel art requires less use of the fill tool in general. Those are some reasons.

its just easier to make
