My HTML 5 game stolen by dozens of websites

My canvas HTML 5 game Peckin' Pixels (https://wavingwalrus.itch.io/peckin-pixels) has appeared on dozens of websites around the web. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop this from happening? I tried contacting the websites but only one of them replied and took the game down.

Thanks in advance!

Are they embedding it directly from here? We should have protections against that now. If they're not working, that's a problem.

On the other hand, if they're copying all the files over, that's more tricky. Not sure what you could do.

We do have automated hotlink prevention but it might take a moment to kick in. I just went and made sure your HTML5 projects have been processed for it, so traffic should now be redirected your way. This only works if they try to directly steal the URL from itch.io hosting your project. If they download your game and re-host it, there’s not much we can do about that. You could implement a site-lock into your game to help prevent that.
