ok, so I tried this, and I encountered an issue, it involves pens, they just hug one side of the pen and don't really do much besides trying to walk through the fence wall I made. another thing, I am assuming the monster girls and such won't forcibly initiate procreation with the player in player mode, from what I have experienced so far that is, not that i saw it being such in the description, but i thought that it was based on what the itch description said, since, the player is technically a way for them to take care of the their lust if it got too high and that there no free monster girl/boy/futa available.

it said: "Monster girls do what they want and it's hard to control them, they will wander the garden and do what they feel like." and: "Girls have a lust stat which raises over time and must be satisfied. If they can't find a willing partner they may engage a not so willing monster, or deal with it themselves." with the not so willing monster, i slightly figured that the player would also be a viable target. and at one point, i interacted with a neko when i was in my player form and it got rid of all my ui options and i could not do anything, i had not saved the garden in 3 in-game days as well... it was one of the nekos that were hugging the fence, making me feel as tho the pen was not even that useful, which is strange since i had already got some apple trees into the pen, so i don't see a reason for them to want to escape the handmade pen so badly...

even with all that considered, its still somewhat fun, hopefully the next update will pop up soon, since its almost been 2.5 months since the last one.

Hey there, please forgive the lateness of my reply.

First of all, addressing the issue regarding penning monsters; you're 100% correct, their behaviour is not yet ideal. Monster wandering has always been an interesting challenge, if you played the game during it's earliest iterations, you'll remember that this used to happen around the edge of your garden as well. Essentially what's happening here is the navigation mesh (UE4's pathing system) does not get updated properly, and monsters do not register interior fences as obstacles.

It was hard enough figuring out a system for keeping Resident monsters from trying to explore outside your garden, while still allowing Visiting monsters to roam where ever they please. However, I definitely plan to fix this before the final release of the game. Monster behaviour and wander mechanics will be confined to defined pens.

Lastly, regarding monsters engaging the player; this has always been a planned feature for the game, and will be tied to the Loyalty system, "if you neglect monsters they may take out their frustrations on you!" The loyalty system is very loosely hashed out at the momeny, providing a basis for monster happiness, but not yet providing a penalty for neglecting them. In the final version of the game, you can expect the events you described to occur, as well as monsters ignoring you should you choose to instruct them in the Arena.
