So I've been to the dungeon through the trap door of the house, where you fight a giant fiend and also some koalaths behind a gate. However, there is a dungeon marker way off in the distance. I've traveled as far as Monster Level 1100. Is there a dungeon way out there?

Wow, that's far. No, it's currently just giant monsters after the fog giants. I've just changed the compass to hopefully avoid that impression.

It's scary to think people flew that far out in search of a super dungeon; glad that got fixed!
