Animation Issue/Ability Remnants

Context: I was a full-on (lvl-3) lobster and got the fireball/shield, then ate 3 frogs. I ate 3 birds and had the lvl-3 bird wings, then ate 1 butterfly.

I noticed then, during the first jumping animation (where the shield pulses) that there were 2 or 3 frames of the bird wings, even though I had lvl-1 butterfly wings.

I was also wondering if retaining the lobster's fireball (and shield? not even sure where the shield comes from) even after fully assimilating into a different "base" species (frog, in my case) was a bug or a feature?

Very neat game, thanks!

thanks for the detailed report!
the outline around the character is to indicate evolution, as you change to your new form,
so not intended as a shield! ( though you are invulnerable while evolving )
the wings should also be blinking between the two different types, i'll sort this out in the next version!

I'm still working on how the abilities remain / unlock as you change form,
at the moment you have a 5 creature ability history, even though visually its only 3
but i'm planning a different in-game method of locking an ability as currently its not obvious enough!

Cheers!

Here's a video I uploaded showing what I'm talking about. The yellow glow and the accompanying noise start when you hit lvl3 lobster, and seem to remain indefinitely.

Thanks Again!
i've altered the effect ( signifying your shot is charged & ready to fire)
next build will be out shortly
