I did make a Mac build in 2018 but the process of signing an app for the mac became very difficult - caused a lot of support requests so i stopped releasing it for the platform!

Hey you should be able to download the latest version if you login with the same account!

currently it does nothing,
i had planned to make placing an egg in a nest a checkpoint - allowing you to start from that location on subsequent runs

the game is meant to be discovered through play.

I acknowledge that the Gui is confusing, and does not help with that, hence the Dev build where I’ve tried to address some of the issues

Tabbing chooses which body you will replace the next time you eat a body changing creature, this allows you to be selective when evolving

if your body is the same as another creature, stay in the same spot as them for a few seconds
there will be a red outline on you and your partner when you are overlapping & able to reproduce

I am aware of a lot of these issues and had even addressed some of them in a later build of the game.
Although this is more broken in other ways, so i have not released it.
Point also taken on the menu being too obtuse for screen flashing  - screen shaking
I'll agree the hunger and falling rocks are on the brutal side, and will address these in a patch asap.

The confusing evolution  and mating system is a result of technical limitations of the approach i took to give a visual representation of any evolution.
My approach is a dead end, as it requires thousands of frames of animation to be drawn in order to add single creature that can be mated with.
This led to the confusing differences between the way tails, shells and other creatures interact.
