While doing the "Visit the Tavern challenge" it wants you to do it 10 times in a day....but since it doesn't give you a notice of completion until the next day I was scared of losing my progress. In the end I spent maybe 3-4 hours clicking back and forth BY HAND all the way to 3000 times. I don't know how to feel anymore...I just...I...I don't know anymore.
Figured it out. After visiting the tavern so many times, you have to go to sleep and end the day. The challenge is completed successfully when you wake up the next morning. I also had the same question ahaha.
That seems to be the case for all challenges. They complete after ending the day if you meet the conditions.
