Will it run on a 2009 MacBookPro 10.11?

That's basically my question: will the game run on a 2009 MacBookPro 10.11?

Thx!

It should, though there are some issues sometimes with java installations /high-res screens that I haven't really looked into yet. You can try and if it doesn't work I'll give you a refund, no questions asked.

Hi Jake,

Thank you very much for your reply and your trust. I didn't get the game running natively (Mac), however I did get it to run with CrossOver using one of the .exe files.

Once again, thank you. I have something to put my teeth in the coming days. Looks promising!

Thank you too J. Just let me know if you want a refund. I plan on adding proper Mac support in the coming months. Have fun!

Hi Jake! I spent a great deal of the weekend to try and get Songs of Syx to run mac natively as well as trying to get it to run properly on CrossOver.

Mac-wise I tried everything I could think of, watched your instructional video on youtube, everything to no avail. On CrossOver, with some fiddling, it runs. With some caveats that is: the cursor behaves very slurry (in game not in the menus) which makes selecting stuff very hard, and the games quickly paces down to a slow drizzle. Using keys 1 to 4 to speed up the game doesn't work except the 4-key which then has to be kept pressed down to make a difference. Scrolling sometimes works fine, sometimes doesn't...

My current rig is simply too old to I suppose, I am considering buying a windows machine in the near future.

I think you have a great title in the making but for now I would like to accept your offer for a refund, if it still applies.

Thank you for your offer of a try-out and your trust!

And thank you for giving it a shot. It seems that making refunds are a bit more difficult that I thought (I thought it was a click). Sorry about that. Could I just bother you for your email that you use here on itch? You can send it to info@songsofsyx.com, it you'd like..
