Wetness and scenario loading

To begin with, thanks much for keeping Empire alive.  Empire was one of the first computer games I was exposed to back in the 1980s. So I suppose it is partly responsible for the mess I have made of my life since. Be that as it may, I still enjoy playing. I have two questions about EDCE:

1) The wetness slide on the map parameters doesn't seem to do much if anything. No matter where I put it from 0 to 100, the generated map is about the same amount of water and land. Any idea how to fix?

2) I've downloaded a scenario or two and can't seem to get them to the point I can actually play them. The map pops up when I try to play the scenario but I can't see how to get to the play stage. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again!

I assume this it the WB 3.11  I would say yes, wetness does very little. The source is open and available, but the origin of the source from the world building  code originally used in the 1993 Empire Deluxe. Baldwin had it vary just   a little, and so i don't think it has a great impact. The 4.0 WB has a land/water ratio which has a bigger impact.

Thanks. The 4.0 world builder does work much more like what I was looking for. Also, I was able to figure out how to load the scenario as well. Thanks again.
