Hello there! Just wanted to say I love what you've done! It has so much charm, wit, and absurdity to it and I seriously can't wait for the release of the full game :) I was legitimately disappointed when the demo was over haha

I hope you don't mind me asking but what birthed the idea of clam man and clam man 2? What was the story behind it?

Also how do you come up with the story and script like that?

P.S. Loving the isometric, hand drawn illustrative style of clam man 2. Adds a whole lot of character and charm to the world. Good job and keep it up!

Thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate it!!

Clam Man was originally a character I drew for a platforming game, but while nothing came of it, the design was so goofy it stuck. Clam Man 2 was born from me wanting to make a larger, narrative game, and with huge inspiration from Disco Elysium and Fallout 1 - the standup part just came from me caring a lot about comedy and having a lot of ideas what I wanted to write about!

Not sure how to explain the script and coming up with it - I usually just sit down and try to think of a quest or idea that would be fun to do, and then start writing and see what comes out of it. Part of the writing in Clam Man is also meant to emulate tabletop RPGs, which is why you talk and argue with ”yourself” when you fail!

Wow I really never would have thought you'd be able to create a RPG game about standup but here you have it. Thanks so much for letting me pick your brain a little and answering my questions! Good luck with developing the rest of the game and hope its going well so far
