Really cool game !

This was a really fun experience, especially since I didn't knew that the game was going to be about, as soon as Angola was mentioned things got really interesting.

If you plan on making more on this concept, it would be really nice to have maybe a little bit more control over the corkboard. For example a way to "merge" two items that have been  torn in half, to trash useless notes, or to easily move a group of notes together.

(On a side note, after quitting the game and restarting, if I move an element the red strings do not follow and stay stuck at its old location.)

Thanks! Really glad you enjoyed it :D

And yeah if I end up making a sequel, I'll definitely add some more controls to the corkboard. All great ideas!

Oh, and about the strings getting stuck, was that in the main game or in the explore mode? Or both? Either way I'll try to track down the bug :)

the main game, though it might have been in the explore mode, but I wouldn't have noticed.

Ah okay - thanks for letting me know! Will try to track it down :)

I also thought this was really cool!

Made a video that includes my note-taking process (did not do a great job xD):

This is cut down from 1h27m of my 2nd playthrough.

- Sometimes the game lags, for example when making connections between pins, it freezes and then deltas to last mouse movement. got really bad in explore mode.

- I didn't notice anything different in explore mode compared to the final state I left things in. Does that mean I got all docs?

- Totally could have multiple endings, based on what direction the research takes :D (hey, maybe there is and nobody found it yet).

Hey! Thanks for doing the video - I really enjoyed it :)

And yeah if you didn't notice anything different in explore mode then it means you found everything on the story-mode playthrough!

Amazing and inspiring game for my own detective type creation. The corkboard mechanics were great as well as the plotesque changes to the environment to reinforce the ominous paranoia. One humble suggestion of mine would be to provide an easier way to disconnect the string connections than to pickup one of the items, unless there is one and I'm unaware. Big love for a bewitching revolution too <3.

Thanks so much! Glad you liked the game. You can actually remove the twine by clicking and holding a pin, but that's definitely something I could signpost better, haha
