Hi, this is my first post about my first game, Grim. I designed it in the hopes of playing a campaign with a few players, and simply playing! No fidgeting, rules-checks, or awkward lengths of time required, just your imagination. As to the name, it is called Grim because I intend to make it possible for a character to die in a single turn.

“GRIM is a Fate based roleplaying game infused with the d20 systems of D&D. It is meant to be a low fantasy or fiction game that one can play in medieval, Victorian, or even modern settings with ease and storytelling capacity. It should also be considered that the roleplay experience is not intended to be a simulation, and it is the work of everyone playing to ensure that everyone is enjoying themselves. It is the Gamemaster’s work to resolve all disputes and be a logical engine for the game. The rules of Grim can be bent to the party’s satisfaction for a better story, but the story should be bent for the satisfaction of the party.”

I am looking for players, so expect to play a campaign. I am currently ironing out the GMing details, but they’re all in my head, and I need to test the product before I can release it. There will also be “Shades Grimmer,” or Modifications like Long Rests, Morality rules, Battle Status, and Role Cards, which predetermine your character’s personality.

I expect to playtest for a month, or four 1-2 hour sessions and an extra Session 0 on Saturdays at 6PM EST via Zoom. Contact me at dbfrostfire@gmail.com, or go to frosti.carrd.co for more info. We begin when at least four people contact me.

     Ciao, Frosti!
