Amy Salomon - Dev Log 4 - Learning Reflection

Starting off, I feel very confident going into the next semester. My team seems to understand exactly what to do to finish off this semester, and also where we'll be headed for the next semester.  We have all of our roles identified, our future plans laid out, and our vision centralized.

We got here by starting to have weekly outside-of-class meetings every Sunday morning. This was a very useful aspect to keeping our team on top of work, and understanding what our next steps are. We will definitely continue this process going into the next semester, as it's been a great help for our team.

Additionally, having a Discord server where we can reach out to our team whenever we need to has been very useful, since we can have sort-of mini meetings outside of our actual ones; our team recently discussed the design of our main character, and that all happened outside a meeting where we threw a bunch of ideas and references around before settling on an idea together. This is also a process that should continue as we move forward.

Overall, I think I learned a lot on how to manage and work with my team this semester, as this is my first time being a lead on this kind of project. I'm excited to keep working on our idea.

Hello Amy!

Sounds like you and your teammates are on the right track and are ready for the production phase next semester.  I greatly agree with how you guys are doing team meetings. It helps a lot to make your tasks get done as quickly as possible either based on what their currently working on or if new tasks need to be assigned to each other. I'm eager to see how all of this will play out in the next semester.

Hey Amy!

It seems like you and your team have found out the optimal workflow and can now sail right into the development stage! I do agree that having meetings outside our usual class time helps tremendously in making sure everyone has completed their assigned tasks or know what they should be working on. Communication is one of the most important team dynamic and your group seems on top of it with the many places to talk! I'm excited to see what you all come up with for next semester.
