Really loved the stick figure animation; that looked really good! I found hitting the jump button was way too slow, as some of the others said. But the look of the game was quite simple and crisp.
Cute little game, I liked the run cycle of the player and the smashing apart effect of the ceiling beams. Good work!
Congrats on the submission! The animation was nice, but the controls felt a bit laggy.
Neat little endless runner. Enjoyed the animation. Felt a little slow to respond but I figure that just playing it in the browser. Good job on the game!
The jump delay - if you were talking about that- was on purpose to serve the animation, btw. But if I think of it, that was not the best idea I've had.
the animation looks/feel great. ^,..,^
didnt notice any lag, its been said before but very repetitive. :P
I made my game on scratch and it was also my first game jam. I like your game because it was simple. (I like simple games)
The Scratch Bros
The game matches the two themes (1 bit and 1 button); it results easy to play but also too much repetitive
Pretty cool game, the sprites are simple serve their purpose very well! The animations look really cool but could be faster and I noticed that I was able to touch the spikes while jumping when I time it right.
Small tip: Don't say your game is laggy, it's a feature ;)
You're right. The (actually, it's a) slowdown can be helpful to time the jump.
Since this my first game ever published, plus for a game jam, I appreciate any feedback.
You're right it is quite laggy, have to time it well. Only got score of 1 though.
nice game! I like how you have to time the animation to hit the blocks and jump over the spikes at the same time. I did experienced the lag and i'm not quite sure, but it looks like it makes so that you take more time to jump? or maybe its supposed to be that way.
anyway, good job, its fun and quite challenging, i got around 5 points.
Well, the lag (+ slowdown) comes from the Scratch 'Engine' and is no intentional thing. The 'Engine' or the game is not optimized for the other one.
I should maybe force it to run it on Turbo-Mode (60 fps) and tweak a few variables to somewhat hide that lag (+ slowdown).
Unfortunately for now, I won't have the time to do this, maybe in the future.
