An interesting idea although with the lack of AI its strange playing against ones self. The board becomes hard to move around in at a certain point because of the color rules + lack of grid outlines. Good work though!

Nice! Might be worth to add a normal chess engine to play against. Because even though some of the moves suggested by the engine might not work (because of the wrong color), it would probably still be challenging enough.

Really creative idea for a game! Never have thought about changing the rules of chess like this. Works really well with the black&white constraint. So far I have only tested the game against myself because I did not have an opponent at the time of testing this, but maybe later will test with a friend to see how the game actually plays. It's clear that the territory control aspect changes the game very much from what the traditional chess is.

Is it supposed to be possible to take back selecting a piece? At least, I did not find a way to do this. In case it is not possible, this can result in a situation where the game cannot continue if one has accidently selected a piece that have no legal movements.

Great concept.  There's no AI so this is a one vs self or one vs one game.  The painting rules are odd. I took a knight and the squares the knight could have moved too when it died turned.  That was weird.  The painting rules felt inconsistent and pawn's movement was... troublesome.  Great concept though, could be a great game with some polish.  Great idea.  Sad that there's no ai to play against though.

Yeah, unfortunately we didn't have time to get ai working, or pawns moving correctly. We're actually planning on fixing all that up so hopefully there will be a more completed build up sometime in the next week or two. Thanks for the feedback!

Congrats on the submition! Nice premise. Feel like a nice competitive game, chess with a twist.
