Downloading the games instead of browser playing

I'm really curious to know what the community prefers! Playing in a browser is definitely more convenient since there's nothing to download.

Yesterday, I tried porting my demo game to HTML5, but unfortunately, due to certain shader limitations, it turned out to be impossible...

On the bright side, the game has been optimized, and the file size has been reduced from 363MB to 186MB. So if 363MB seemed to scary you before, you can now download and try the game without hesitation. Also the MacOS version is in pack, so if you are on Mac, it will be a good experience)

Big hugs to everyone!

The more seamless experience is playing on browser, but on certain types of games, due to immersion a browser just wont do it. Also its better than executing unknown files made by strangers….

Also the browser may cause technical problems, as you mentioned.

Still I preffer to play on browser

got it, my game is fully optimized for browser, but due to shaders in cant run mobile or html5, thats sad(

Im much more likely to play the game if i can play it on the browser. Downloading an executable from a random stranger is risky, im sorry but it would be really easy to add viruses or malicious stuff into the game. So i advice allways doing a browser game first and an optional download if you want, unless your game is too big to run in the browser ofc.
