I absolutely LOVE the art in this game! My only complaints were that it lacked any kind of tutorial and I couldn't actually figure out what to do. I think you should add a tutorial with detailed explanations on what the items you can interact with do. All that being said, this looks like it could be a cute and fun game. Hope you continue to develop it and nice work so far!
Looks quite cute, clean and made with love! Nice work with art and sound.
Lacks intuitivity. While player is presented with controls, it's very unclear what do they do. Even with description on the submission page (and players won't be reading that). As a player I see stimulus (as a new object on the floor or a blinking sign) and I want to interact with it the easiest way possible... Pressing 'z' gave me sounds but I couldn't get any further in understanding mechanics.
Postjam version is much better, thanks. But I would advise you to add gradually filling progress bar when dealing with objects on the floor/cracks because it's definitely not clear that you need to hold 'z' instead of pressing it once. Even shortness of a sound indicates solitary action.
Overall, nice and cute. Thank you!
Yeah, we definitely need to improve the tutorialisation. Adding a progress bar is on the to do list, but I hadnât considered the fact that the sounds are short being misleading - great observation! Thanks for playing and for the helpful feedback!
I didn't quite get what I was meant to be doing with the customers, but the game looked and felt very clean. Maybe an instructions panel on the itch page or in-game?
Yeah, I think we couldâve explained it better! We did add a bit to the description about what you need to do, but left it a little vague (get rid of the customers before closing time but make sure to clean up). Have added a screen to the post-jam version that adds a little explanation, but it could probably be even more explicit!
Thanks for the feedback đ
Hahaha I thought it was a platform jumping game at first, but it turns out there doesn't seem to be any higher levels. The music interactions are still fun though!
I can just imagine the customers jumping up those platforms to get to those tables on the upper section ahaha!
