What worked:

It's a very creative idea. I like the part where you have to carry the other after falling. The different characters revealing secrets in each room (keys, platforms) is really cool. I didn't get very far due to time, but it seems like there are some great puzzles ahead.

What didn't:

I would love some feedback on how far the tether is. Something visual or sound based to let me know I'm reaching the limit before I get there.

Swapping can feel kind of slow at times.

The character collision boxes feel a bit too big, making it easy to run into spikes.

Bugs:

After turning upside down, I couldn't find the key so decided to backtrack. This was a bad idea as I ended up phasing through a wall and getting stuck in the first bridge area.

Well, I actually wanted to make music for the game, but I don't know (yet) to write chiptune music so I made SFX instead. I wil start learning about music creation after the jam tho

Yoo, a fantasy console enjoyer!

I remember your posts in discord, though I missed the tic-80 part.

Geniunely good idea and execution, too!

Final rating: my pfp

Cheers🤝🤝

Yup! Tic-80 is awesome, I use unity too but on this jam I decided to go with tic-80 because it would actually be easier to make my game 1-bit. Glad you liked the game!

This is such a cute little platforming challenge!
My only major complaint is that I wish there was more. The gravity mechanic seemed promising, but it was over before I could play with it all that much.
Nice little time for sure!

Developer

Thanks! I really liked the game too and wanted to make more but I ran out of time, so I ended up making a quick end. I probably will continue the game afterjam

Really interesting core mechanic/concept supported by solid level design/art/polish. My initial reaction was that the rope movement was a little cumbersome but as soon as its used on the bridge for the first time and you witness the potential of the mechanic my opinion was changed. Enjoyable puzzle platforming!

Interesting mechanics. I was surprised that there is a saving of progress. Good game!

Developer

Thanks! I'm pretty sure this is the best game I have managed to make so far and I'm pretty happy with the result
