Hi,

I would like to give and get feedback. If you've submitted a game just send me the link and I'll try to play as many games as possible and of course I will give feedback. You can also play my game of course: https://itch.io/jam/1-button-jam-2024/rate/3147950

I actually enjoy your game. It's pretty basic, the sounds fit well too.

Although, the game gets quite easy if you just decide to stay on the bottom. The challenge is far less difficult, I'd recommend adding in red blocks or spikes to force the player to move. I like that you have to time things carefully, although I don't think it fits the game very well. In an endless runner like yours, I believe something more along the lines of double-tapping would go down, and tap once to go up and avoid obstacles. Make the pew pew machine go pew every now and then, and have power ups to increase the rate at which it shoots throughout the game.

Wonderful job!

Here's my game if you're up for it: https://lyapunov.itch.io/orbital-one-procedural
I just recently put up a post about it too, if you'd like to leave your feedback there aswell.

Thank you for the feedback. I get what you mean. I actually wanted to add those red blocks you were talking about I just didn't have the time. I'll play your game as soon as I can.

O

Oh awesome! I'd love to see an update to the game. Reminds me of stuff I'd find and play as a kid on the web. If you ever do keep me posted!

I just played. I really like the way it looks and the idea. I do find the voices a bit confusing once there were multiple. I also took me a bit to understand what I had to do, so maybe you could add a small tutorial of some sort.

Thank you for the feedback. I never had enough time for it, but it was in the plans. It wouldn't be hard to make a small tutorial level where it slows down time and everything to explain how to do things

Fun game. One thing is that the instruction text at the start of the game was almost already off the screen before I had chance to read it but I don't know if that was a resolution issue on my end. It took a couple of attempts before I figured out fully how the game works with the powerups. I did enjoy it - quite addictive.

If you get chance could you test mine: https://itch.io/jam/1-button-jam-2024/rate/3154007

I just played it and I really like the graphics and control. The only thing you might need to fix is the player disapering randomly every now and then for a split second. Overall nice game though. :D
