Thanks for the feedback - I really enjoyed watching the playthrough on youtube!

Really like the echolocation effect, I'm going to have a dig through your github to see how it was implemented. Good job!

Enjoyed the game, it's a nice platformer and the time switching mechanic works well. One thing I would suggest is I fell off the end of platforms quite a bit when I was intending to jump at the last second, but mistimed it. Perhaps implementing a "coyote time" mechanic to give a few frames margin of error when jumping after falling off the edge of a platform would make things feel a bit better. Good game though!

Despite the monster being only a capsule with eyes it's actually really scary! Good job!

Played it through to the end and enjoyed the game. The graphics style reminded me of the old pokemon games. Good job.

Fun game, I like the concept. It would be good to see it developed further! Please try my game if you get chance: https://davesutcliffe.itch.io/chronokill

Completed it in 6:34. Fun game, nice job

Amazing. Great concept and very polished. Probably one of my favourite games I've rated this jam.

Played and rated. Heres mine: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2023/rate/2092526

I liked the idea for the game but the jumping physics often made it difficult to get back onto the ground in time to catch some of the projectiles. I think if you could refine that a bit it would make it feel a lot better. Quite a fun game, good job!

Thanks for taking the time to try the game!

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing

Thanks for playing

Thanks for playing!

Interesting idea. Perhaps a cooldown, or the energy bar recharges over time? I'll have a think about how it might work. Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing. Yep I agree the player model is a little out of place. I'll look at replacing it with something more suitable after the jam completes.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into adding some sort of tutorial messages for the first level

I tend to rate them relative to other submissions, so I played a few before I started rating.
Is it more fun than most of the other submissions I've played? Then it gets a higher than average fun rating etc.

I liked the character, the bouncing mechanic was fun. I think you've got the start of an interesting game here if you continue it in the future. I see from the description on the game page you had the idea of being able to absorb different liquids for various game play interactions; this is sounds like an interesting concept I'd like to see implemented. Nice work!

I'll rate yours this evening when I get back home. Here's mine: https://davesutcliffe.itch.io/chronokill

Great game. Played and rated. Feel free to give mine a go: https://davesutcliffe.itch.io/chronokill

A fun and challenging game. Loved the dimension switching mechanic. Good job!

Great and unique mechanic. I enjoyed playing this, I would like to see more levels in future if you decide to continue with it.

Interesting idea with the world being mirrored. Good job!

Thanks! Played and rated!

A bit too difficult for me, but that's due to me being rubbish at these sorts of games. I couldn't beat any of the bosses but I did go through the practice mode to see them all. As mentioned in other comments, it could really do with some sound effects, but I did enjoy the music. I liked that the 3 bosses are essentially 3 different games with completely different mechanics. Good job!

I've noticed the same problem, and yeah, it's just due to the extra steps required compared to running a game in the browser that means we don't get as many ratings. I wish Unreal Engine still supported web publishing but it looks like that feature isn't coming back. I'm making a conscious effort to rate downloadable games this jam just to try and even out the numbers. I'll give yours a try too. If you get chance here's mine: https://davesutcliffe.itch.io/chronokill

Quite a relaxing game, and the voice effects were fun! Nice work!

An Interesting idea - I like the idea of using rock/paper/scissors to resolve combat. One thing I noticed is that movement and turning is a bit disorientating. I think this could be improved by slowly moving between the two positions or angles when the player presses the move / turn key rather than instantly moving there. Nice job!

Thanks for the feedback related to the performance issues. These should be resolved in version 1.0.1 - now available for download.

The hand drawn art is pretty cool. I think the story could be improved, but you've got the base of a game there to improve upon in future. Good job getting something built and submitted in the 10 days.

I like the aesthetics, the pixel art was good. The platformer controls felt pretty good and the dimension changing was interesting. I didn't get too far as I'm not very good at platformers, but I enjoyed the parts of the game I managed to see! Good job!

The landscape looks good, and you mentioned on the game page you put some work into the IK on the dogs paws - that seems to work well too. There doesn't seem to be much to do gameplay wise, but good job on getting something built and submitted in the 10 days!

Played and rated. I thought the music was good, and even though the graphics were simple I liked the animation on the character. Fun game, good job. Mine is here if you want a go: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2023/rate/2092526

I liked the concept! Played and rated. Please give mine a go if you get chance: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2023/rate/2092526

Interesting concept. Looking forward to further development to see where Flatrick ends up!

A fun game, good job!
