Something we can use as guidance also... can it have combat, tactics or be open world?
Telltale Games made a few 3D adventure games. Like Back to the Future: The Game, several Sam and Max games, and Tales of Monkey Island. And I'm pretty sure I saw it said that Life is Strange counts, as well as some of the walking simulators.
And combat, tactics, and being open world are all fine as long as the main game play fits within the definition of adventure games.
First person is rare in commercial adventure games, but it's possible. Myst is first person. And there seem to be a lot of games under first person adventure here on Itch. But I can't say how many of those actually fit the true definition.
There's also the Dark Fall series, which I forgot about since I've only played a few minutes of one of them.
There are many 3D adventure games. No problem with that at all.
Combat should be minimal if it exists, concentrating mainly on the adventure game rather than combat. By "open world" I assume you mean that you can walk around seamlessly instead of from screen to screen? Sure, that's fine.
First person is also fine.
