That was awesome, really well done! Love the use of perspective, music and the hand animation, it almost feels like I'm playing a short video and the camera work and sound have been carefully edited to see the parts of the poem at just the right moment.
Wow! I felt curiosity, excitement and then a little shock. This is so much more than I feel with many modern AAA games - this is a cool piece of art and I love it! An imaginative approach!
Is it wrong that the first reaction I got from the end was a laugh? Granted, it was more out of surprise than anything, but given the poem's overall mood it made me feel a little bit out of place. An interesting experience, as I wanted to replay it instantly and, thinking about the lack of a button or any way to reset it, I got it by the poem's message a second time, on a more personal level since this time it affected me a little bit.
I dont think there is right or wrong when it comes to a reaction =) .... I am glad you could experience that .... I wanted to play with that surprise aspect and gruesome disappointement .... starting with something that seems like a love poem ... then ending gruesomely with a surprise to evoke a mix of laughter and sadness ...
