Oh this is something special, I am glad I took a moment to appreciate this ...

small and powerful ... I think it needs nothing more ...

"a moment of self acceptance" really touched me

man what a talent to put so much into such a contained experience ...

checked your other works, oh man glad I stopped by

Omg this is such an awesome work of art wtf, man this work is f**g amazing ... its like a creepy fairy tale with so much personality and uniqueness .. just wow ... no words for this omg

oh this made me laugh right away, what a creative way to come up with a defuse the bomb type of game ... I think this could go on and on with that funny voice over (kinda feels like that game "there is no game")

really clever typing game with a unique vibe ... the fact that it makes you type things that are not typical words but rather things with punctation and signs, makes it have a unique flavor compared to other typing games ...

I particularly like the aesthetics of this, the little sounds playing in the background and the minimalistic black and white with letters showing up. I feel Its like "typing for programmers" type of competition

love the atmosphere and the vibe of this already feels omninous .... makes me think of mouthwash (the game) a bit ... on that first scenes

nice smoke and textures, soundscape is gorgeous as well ...

the 20s timer really puts you in a rush to find clues, had to read some clues in here to find what to do though, that felt like keep talking and nobody explodes

impressive cutscene in the beginning with impressive voice over and some cool anime vibes, love it!

the gameplay was so fast I really questioned what had I done, but feels cool, feels a bit ... tekken with perhaps ... powerstone ... felt good to fight those ninja, but from the intro in the cutscene I confess I was expecting monsters

lovely music, lovely theme, adorable characters ...

confess that I needed to turn off the timer, I am really not a fast reader, but enjoyed my time greatly with the crocodile story ... very specific comments on strangest people, cold places, travels .... real nice short textual conversational experience

wow this is hard as hell and I am not so good with motor reflex stuff.

One thing that is interesting here, just like hard games like celeste (in this case I see it more like a Thumper, horror rhythm type of thing) is that after a while you see yourself memorizing the sequence and the timing so it gets less scary.

I can see this being a very addictive loop, the game core has lots of potential for that, I can imagine this with a frenetic soundscape and you have a strong potentially addictive touch experience (Thumper with one finger would not be a bad thing).

I dont think there is right or wrong when it comes to a reaction =) .... I am glad you could experience that .... I wanted to play with that surprise aspect and gruesome disappointement .... starting with something that seems like a love poem ... then ending gruesomely with a surprise to evoke a mix of laughter and sadness ...

thanks for the comments Oliver, I was wondering if it was a good idea to add the sounds ... was trying to add something to make it "cooler" so to say, kinda of a last minute idea was to make it like a drums simulator ... maybe we should add volume controls? What do you think? Or should we remove that completely?

About the cheating thing ... well, bouncing the ball around the edges I would not call that cheating ... I mean, if you found a way to win more points, that is just good strategy, there is no right or wrong way to play something ... cheating would be if, for instance, if you could inject some javascript to make it give you more points without actually playing the game (we did not test against that lol

we really have no idea where to take this tbh lol we just saw the game jam and thought ... why not?

so any comment is extremely valuable

Wow, this game has such a lovely vibe. I fell It's a great way to spend a lazy afternoon, just chilling and collecting flowers, gathering ingredients, and stuff like that. There's just one thing, though. I got lost in figuring out what sequence to follow to start making money and get the whole thing rolling. I saw that there are some quests there, but I'm not sure which ones to tackle. I bought some plants, I think, but they haven't yielded anything that helped me make money. So, I guess I sort of went broke lol ...

could not find what plant could give me this and was completely out of money lol

oh just remembered you had that beautiful beaver1 game on pixel game jam, glad to see your art again =)

heeey so nice to see familiar faces =)

btw we are planning to release M4 on Steam soon, here is it there https://store.steampowered.com/app/3173550/M4Arena/

I hope to able to release it Q1 next year ... I hope lol

I really loved the music on this, and the idea of identifying emotions and having creatures that represent those emotions is quite powerful. It reminds me of a game that has a similar vibe with creatures representing moments or strong emotions ... Keep In Mind.

Wow, I only found out after the fact that you pulled off this project by yourself in 24 hours—that's genuinely impressive.

Wow, this style is really stunning! It's an art style that goes really well with the music too. It has a vibe that's kind of Spiritfarer-esque, and a bit of Night in the Woods feel to it as well—pretty cool. I feel the subtle lighting effect are quite fascinating too; they add a nice layer of depth.

It's quite fascinating how you control such a tiny character within huge places. The only thing that I think would make it more immersive ... currently the character seems to slip quite a bit in the environment... I can imagine it being cool to more tangibly feel each step, the character's movement.

The art is super unique, truly one-of-a-kind ... tbh I thought the whole concept of the little ship dodging and shielding itself from emotions could be a bit ... sappy, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's all tied together so well with the therapy session, and the art really draws you in. The music, the sound effects – this project is incredibly well-rounded.

By the way, it's worth mentioning that the animations are stunning. They're in every tiny nuance, every little detail. The more you look, the more you notice the complexity of the transitions, from the speech bubbles to the way enemies perish during the spaceship section.

I ran into a problem on the web version here; I'll have to check out the installable version later to see if I can play. Just when it was starting to get good, you know, right after the first battle, this happened.

I kinda like the topic of Existential Dread, and that sort of absurdist theme ... It's like reading a summary of Emile Cioran, that philosopher

"do human things!"

Ah, it's such a shame it was over so quickly, but it was a delightful experience to gather magical essences and heal the little plant. I could see myself spending quite a lot of time simply exploring, in a larger setting with that kind of lo-fi vibe in the background. I found the way you designed the trees particularly beautiful. The little branches and shading on the trees. The art of the house really reflects the character's personality; the character's animation matches this vibe wonderfully. It truly makes you want to spend more time there.

This is tremendously adorable, like, I don't know if it was scripted or what, but on my very first attempt to get up, I rolled a one on the dice lol

You just feel like staying longer in this little world here, in this story. You wish it was a bit longer, with more adorable illustrations, and with all this sketch and paper theme—it's simply gorgeous.

Wow, I'm super thrilled I found and downloaded this project to give it a try. The opening scene just blew me away – those sudden cuts, the ticking clock in the background, it really reminds me of that old game, I think it's called Everyday the same dream, which also has this theme of recurrence and not being in control of the daily grind. Dude, it's seriously awesome.

I must admit I ran into some bugs after the first scene ... But I think the bugs are related to... uh... oh... maybe the game isn't expecting you to move the character at certain times, so it might end up in places you were not supposed to be.

lol this was kinda funny

I do think this game has a lot of potential and its aesthetics and theme are really powerful and compelling, the bugs just seem to be about perhaps .. cutscene and control management and that is that

The art here is obviously quite beautiful, and the use of voice-over is impressive too. There were a few parts where the game froze on me, like in the scene down below where I had to quit, but obviously, the art, music, and the entire atmosphere are very original. I'm not sure what the English version is like, but the Spanish version really gives the game a unique vibe. Unique, powerful, and it makes you want to spend more time immersed in that world. Btw this print was in the spanish version, but this part had english text for some reason ...

Wow, it's a delight to ride this bike by the beach/city landscapes. I could spend the whole day cruising back and forth, just soaking up the scenery and enjoying the feel of this nifty little bike which, besides being super cute, is such a blast to handle.

The game's setting is also beautiful. I had a small issue at the start, where I felt a bit of lag, a certain slowness, but after I made my way up, it went away. The game became much more performant, and I'm not exactly sure why.

I spent quite a bit of time just ignoring the fact that I had to deliver letters and was just scooping up collectibles.

I'd buy this game and play for hours, just the way it is—I'd definitely grab it on Steam.

I only had performance issues at the start, and a few instances that forced me to close the game, like the one in this when I got too excited about doing some bike tricks.

I really liked the mechanic of managing anxiety, avoiding passing by, and steering clear of the shadows of those who came before you, and the characters are quite charismatic too.

These birds kind of remind me of the duolingo angry face.

I must admit, I hit a wall in a certain area here; I'm not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do in it.

Wow, I've got to say, I was really taken aback—this game is quite fascinating. It features several mechanics that genuinely freaked me out. It puts you right in the shoes of someone with social anxiety, plus it's truly atmospheric. There are also some clever uses of what you might call jump scares although in a visual novel format ... the flickering images got me really wanting to run from social encounters. Loved the usavge of badly cut collage with those wiggly lines ... the intro with the personality test was a clever way to build tension and the contrast with the situation where you can lie or not was something new to me.

Oh yeeees for sure love those games! Your game really brings a similar vibe

this brings me back to emily is away is some way ... and being someone with good friends online that never met in person, I can identify with this

clever mechanics that make a lot of sense as an interactive metaphor .... but also creates cool scenarios like this very normal face

loved this, so simple and creative!

real cute the latte making mechanics ... wish it had some music to go along with it, I see myself listening to a softly sad lofi with this ..

sorry could not resist doing this

Certainly, I am eager to see this project explored in greater depth, as it presents a captivating blend of music, animation, and characters. The creature climbing at the beginning and the face in the mirror are truly striking elements, making a lasting impression and leaving me eager to delve further into this story, embracing its unique atmosphere and vibe.

This is indeed a remarkable work of art, offering numerous beautiful and contemplative moments that transcend simply focusing on Gus's depressive state. This was my favorite.

This mechanic of wandering through the city, meeting interesting characters, delivering letters, all with a kind of wholesome, cozy vibe, really reminded me of Tiny Echoes—a game I'm quite fond of, especially because of its relaxing atmosphere and focus on the unique characters.

Wow, what a beautiful and powerful way to tell a story. There were so many moments where I really saw myself in it. It reminded me a bit of episodes from What Remains of Edith Finch too. The choice of art is particularly intriguing, with its colors and central metaphor of the garden and freedom. The most striking scene for me is that practice of not looking directly into the eyes. Truly, truly quite impactful. The one thing I wished I could do was go fullscreen, which I couldn't get to work when playing on the web version here on Itch. For some reason, the option to play in fullscreen wasn't showing up in the corner, which was a bit of a nuisance when I had to use the mouse to look around.

What you've done here is quite fascinating. The mechanics and the metaphor of the river really drive home the message you're trying to convey. I found the art style along with the voice there quite powerful as well, making the whole work, the entire piece, really interesting.

feels like Hypnospace outlaw but with some more mistery added to it, interesting vibe

heey I want to rate your game for ldjam, it looks cool, whats the ldjam link?

heey your game looks so cute, but I cant find it on ldjam, can you place the jam link so I can rate you guys there please?

very cute game, can you add your ldjam link so I can review your game there?

yeah it seems we are doing a really bad job with the intro then ... noted, will see ways to make that more clear right from the get go, perhaps a few gifs in the intro will make that more clear

thanks for the thoughtful analysis, we really appreciate it.

great tips on the tutorial windows, we really suck with UI/UX

actually there is a pan if you middle click and drag .... tbh dont know if that is a good idea, I personally dont like middle click stuff, but didnt know what to do since we already use the click for selection and are kinda planing a multi selection thing with click and drag on the empy areas of the screen.

money has several bugs, but since its kind of a limitation we chose to move its fixing to later .... but will fix eventually

if you click on the pieces before adding in the menu, you will have a description of them ... but yeah, I guess that is really bad UX lol ... lots of people did not notice it lol

there is something I noticed just recently that happens with the camera in battling that the zoom kinda bugs when the screen is below certain size ... its kinda annoying because its also kinda hard for us to see it happening, I have seen once .... but recently been testing in a smaller notebook to find these kinds of bugs more easily

things that we have been working on:

- live battles on twitch - we already started that, should be going back live in the next few days https://www.twitch.tv/m4arena

- tournaments - probably still this month

things planned:

- open public backlog

- more battle scenarios with different features

- battle modes (currently planning run mode and survival mode)

.... besides all the bug fixing, of course =)

yeah you are right, we are learning about performance improvement as we work on this so yeah I cannot promise a super performance for the moment .... BUT, to your next point, we are about to finish a mode that allows matches to be broadcast and we have just created a twitch account to show live showdowns (https://www.twitch.tv/m4arena) .... we started experimenting with this yesterday =) .... a lot of people enjoyed more watching than building .... but one step at a time, next we will look into the performance side of things ..... as of mobile support, well, that would be a massive rework and as I have never seen someone (streamer or non streamer) play building games on a mobile, not sure it is worth to remake this for mobile.
Thanks for the honest comments, we really appreciate the sincerity =)
