Love the mix of christmas and spooky vibes combined with the somber christmas music.
The main menu looks nice and the achievements (great idea to add) kept me playing, almost managed to do the highest difficulty but would accidentally hit a present at the last second! Game seems well balanced and had no problem on easy or medium though.
I like the different movement options, I almost wish there was something that required me to make more use of the dash (its neat) like santa trying to run me down with his sleigh or something, but overall really nice.
Art, Music and execution are all solid, nice work!
Love this game, really cool idea and love the execution.
Kind of gives me "baba is you" vibes with the way that it feels like there are different ways to solve the problem and it can involve some creativity but also in terms of the simple but charming art style.
Sometimes tutorials in games can feel a bit dull and make you want to skip them because they're added as an after thought, but honestly that was really entertaining and the visual aid of the game being played while you're talking me through it was a really funny, clear and helpful way to do it.
It almost looks like you recorded yourself playing for the tutorial the same way the timeloops record your actions (which if you did is really cool!)
being able to sort of mess yourself up in the game by killing your past lives is cool (and funny) and caught me out a few times.
If I were to say anything feedback wise, it would be great if when your given life first started the timer didn't begin going down until you start moving initially (like press a key to start), as I found myself almost wanting to survey the level a bit to see what was where before moving, this would also be good because that plan might change depending on where you happen to spawn.
Though I'm a little conflicted as admittedly there is also something funny about seeing my past lives panic scattering around a level as I piece together how to best achieve my goal within the time.
Overall, really awesome game, lots of levels to get sunk into aswell. Nice work on this! :)
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the feedback :) The team did an awesome job with the atmosphere, there were so many little things where someone was like "It'd be really cool if we had x" and I think it really came together.
Also I definitely need to play mouthwash myself, I saw someone else playing part of it and it looked awesome
Love the art, love the way that your team literally throw their entire bodies in front of the ball and then get sent into the stratosphere. The wake up dude reminds me of someone from Eddsworld.
It'd be great if there was a way to restart after winning/losing (unless there was and I didn't realize) but I just refreshed the page and that worked fine too.
Nice work on this guys!
Cool game! took me a little time to figure out how to make the droplets and make them fall with my mouse but had no trouble after that. Game looks great, sweet and simple game loop, very calming
It did start to get a little laggy for me right near the end (I think because of the amount of droplets?) but the time is up by about the time it starts to happen so wasn't anything major.
Nice work on this! And congrats on making your first game jam game!
Thanks so much! ahh kicking myself for not letting people skip through the first time (it stores if the cutscene has been seen before so you can skip them once you've seen them once). I have some ideas of how we could make it clearer on how to interact. Appreciate all the feedback, thanks for playing! :)
Nice work! Love the way your gun is both a means to kill enemies and get around. I like the levels you setup as well!
There is a bug with the first level I noticed where because it includes the intro and the sound track playing, if you do run out of time on this level it will cause the music to start playing again without stopping the last set of music.
I tried again from page refresh and if I got past the first level and ran out of time it was fine
Other than that nice job!
I like it! I saw the title and thought, "I could see myself as a bit of a gun sorter" and turns out I am, nice work!
Also a side note, are you using the new input system in unity for mouse movement? Its only happening to me on Firefox but my mouse drifts to the right constantly when the game is active but not fullscreen. The game I worked on for this jam has the same issue! just trying to figure out what is causing it or if my browser is just broken.
Again, cool game!
Love it, also love the main menu making use of the putt mechanic, the main menu almost acts as a tutorial which is awesome and makes sure the player knows how to play before they start.
I did manage to get the lose screen to appear as well as the win screen the first time (I was cutting it real close getting to the end that time). The win screen was still in front though so it wasn't a problem, just a visual quirk
Really nice work, and a working leaderboard too!
Great concept, its cool how you are also sort of competing against this enemy ship for the loot too.
The movement feels a little bit unprecise at times and I found myself accidentally running into rocks, but I immediately figured out what I was supposed to do and managed to get all the loot and sink the enemy a few times.
Nice work!
Great game, there was sort of a moment for me where I was trying to figure out if I was going to be it each beat (and then sometimes I was), loop is really neat, also love the fact that you can change the snare for a dog sound too.
I imagine this would only work out of browser but being able to add your own sounds in place of the snare/dog would be really cool.
Nice work on this!
Damn, I was so close a bunch of times to doing making it! Managed it in the end, I'm a big fan of these types of in world (diegetic) interfaces they are super neat and make things way more fun/interesting, just pressing buttons, switches all sorts. Really cool little game, I definitely felt like I was trying to stop a nuclear disaster having to switch my attention between a screen and all the cool dials and knobs.
If I could give any feedback it would be, that sometimes pressing the buttons for changing the numbers for the code feel a little slow, I kept wanting to click multiple times really fast to get to the correct number but had to wait for the last press to finish. Though it definitely adds more tension the way it is so perhaps that was the intention.
Really nice work!
Just played through the game managed to find my target and stop him before he exploded! sweet and simple gameplay loop, I did encounter an issue when I completed the game and went to play again, it didn't seem to properly reset for me and just said "New Text" at the top.
Feedback wise, I think you could make it more tense by adding in a music track, I like it though
Nice work!
The music in this game is awesome! I really love the track for the second level and the unlocked level with the weird sinewave boss, the tracks for those were especially epic, I wanted to keep doing those levels just to here it honestly.
I was having trouble before realizing that I could switch weapons (which was my fault I didn't properly read the controls!) but then realized that the hexagon shield weapon was awesome and can even deflect projectiles.
Did all the levels using that weapon, only managed to do the first boss with the inital one. Nice work on this!
Really love the concept, the art is solid (I really like the little animations for the ghost, they're really smooth and look great) and the music and sound effects really fit the retro spooky vibe of the game.
I haven't managed to reach my ghostly family yet, I think at most I've managed to get about 5-6 rows up, will have to play a bit more.
I'm not sure if it would make the game too easy but my only thought is perhaps you could have a double jump or some ability to hold onto the side of blocks so you can more easily climb up. Really nice work!
